This lesson will teach you how to log in to and log out of Drupal websites hosted at the Baskin School of Engineering.
Most Drupal websites hosted at the BSOE have a Log In link in the footer. When you click this link, you will usually be prompted to enter your CruzID and Blue password. If the web site you are trying to log into does not have a Log In link in the footer, then you can go to the user login page manually by appending /user to the site's home page URL.
While most BSOE Drupal sites use CruzID Blue authentcation, some do not. If you don't see the CruzID logo on the login page, then you will need to contact the site owner to find out which credentials you should use. The site owner's e-mail address is usually included in the web site footer. If you do not see an e-mail address listed in the footer, then please e-mail webmaster@soe.ucsc.edu and be sure to include the site's URL to find out which credentials to use.
When you are done editing the web site, you should log out. On most web sites, you will see a Log Out link in the left menu or the footer. If you do not see a Log Out link in either of those two places, simple append /user/logout to the site's home page URL.
