Linux Timeshare Servers

BE clients can connect to the Linux Timeshare Servers using their BSOE account credentials.

To connect to our Linux servers, you must have an SSH client installed on your computer.

*** Important Note ***

If you need to transfer files between your BE home directory and your home computer, you must use UCSC VPN service.  Once you are on campus VPN, you can connect to the linux servers directly, and make the file transfer.

For Windows users, we recommend PuTTY. Macintosh and Linux users can open a Terminal window and type ssh login@servername.soe.ucsc.edu to connect (replacing login with your BSOE login name, and servername.soe.ucsc.edu with one of the servers listed above).
