Internet Explorer 8 Users
Internet Explorer 8 removes support for WebDAV folders from Windows. If you try to use WebDAV folders on Windows with IE8, you will get an error message. We are currently researching the best way to connect to WebDAV for IE8 users.
Internet Explorer 5-7 Users
Windows users can edit files on a DAV-enabled web site with nothing more than the software they already have installed on their computer. Since IE 5.0, Microsoft Web Folders has been DAV-enabled, and the simple procedure outlined below will get you up and running in just a few minutes.
Click "Start", and then "My Network Places"
Or, you may have to double-click the "My Network Places" icon on your desktop.
Double-click "Add Network Place"

Click "Next"

Select "Choose another network location" and click "Next"

Enter the WebDAV URL for your web site and then click "Next"

Enter your WebDAV user name and password and click "OK"
Your WebDAV user name and password is usually the same as your SOE user name and password, but it may be different. If you aren't sure, contact .

Enter a name for your WebDAV connection
The default is probably fine, but you can call the connection anything you like.

Uncheck the "Open this network place when I Click finish" check box and then click "Finish"

You now have a new Network Connection to your WebDAV server.
You can drag and drop a shortcut to this connection on your desktop for quicker access in the future.

Double-click your WebDAV icon to connect to the server.
You may be asked for your user name and password again.

You're Done!
You should now be able to drag and drop files to and from your WebDAV connection. You can also create new folders and delete files or folders as needed.
