Password Requirements

The BSOE adheres to a strict policy regarding password strength.  All BSOE passwords must meet the following requirements:

• Passwords must be at least 8 characters long
• Passwords may not contain dictionary words or your user ID.
• Passwords must contain at least three out of four character classes.  The four character classes are: upper case letters, lower case letters, digits and punctiation.  So, a password that containts upper and lower case letters and digits would meet the requirement, as would a password with lower case letters, digits and punctuation.

Passwords that do not meet these requirements will be rejected.
